Inspections

Purchasing an RV is a huge investment. Recreational vehicles of all sizes, contain complex systems from leveling to slide outs. Protect your investment with an inspection from one of our certified inspectors. The excitement of purchasing a new RV can sometimes prevent the buyer from noticing issues upfront. Even if the dealership provides a pre-delivery inspection (PDI), they often aren’t thorough enough to give the buyer proper peace of mind. Since we are independent of a dealer, we don’t have a biased motive in the sale/purchase of the vehicle.

Fluid Samples for your Motorized RV

Want to know more about the engine, powertrain or power generation components on the RV you are getting ready to purchase? Simply checking the oil and coolants in these components can’t tell the whole story. As a certified NRVIA inspector, we have been specially trained in pulling fluid samples from the major components in the RV, whether it is the engine, generator or hydraulic systems we can have the fluids analyzed by the laboratory to provide the information that we can’t visibly see inside the components. Did you know that something as simple as using tap water instead of distilled can ruin your coolant? A lab test can pick up on that and other common fluid mistakes that are made when topping off fluids during the vehicles lifetime.

Our inspectors are certified through the National RV Inspectors Association (NRVIA), which ensures that we provide thorough, unbiased inspections on all types of recreational vehicles.

Here at RV Inspection Specialists, we adhere to all of the NRVIA code of ethics and our inspections often exceed the standards of practice that the NRVIA requires. With a typical inspection on an RV up to 30 feet ranging 3-5 hours, and larger motor coaches and fifth-wheels taking up to 8-9 hours, it is important to have an inspector that is adhering to a high quality standard.

Our philosophy is simple when it comes to our inspections. We perform each one the same way and note the defects that we find as if you have never seen the unit in person before. If it has a small chip in the paint, we want you to know about it. We will document everything from stone chips to significant issues in our reports.

We want you to have all of the details big and small so that you can determine if this is the right RV for you or use the information to negotiate with the seller on repairs or the purchase price. Our reports will be delivered in an easy to use digital format that will show clearly what the issues are from life safety, major, minor and a general comment. Our “Create Request List™” feature makes it easy for the buyer to create a Request List from the inspection report to send to the seller for repair consideration or negotiation purposes.
